MANAGING DIRECTOR
NANNA THOMPSON
(SHE/HER/HERS)
Nanna brings a wealth of experience as an educator, corporate trainer, improv actor and teacher to our East Boulder location. Not only is this mother of two gifted with kiddos (most recently, she was a public elementary school and Montessori teacher) but she also excels at keeping our ship afloat. Nanna blends creativity, humor and warmth with efficiency and flexibility. She truly makes our Village feel like an extension of home.
CHILDCARE ASSISTANT
KIM URNESS
(SHE/HER/HERS)
Kim’s work in the childcare industry began here at Family Village, where she enjoys spending time with her two children –and YOURS. This perpetual explorer put her her industry and laboratory career on pause to share her curiosity and adventurous spirit with our crew of littles. Ever the kid at heart, Kim loves experimenting in the kitchen, flipping on trampolines, staying active and soothing kids who are newly adjusting to time away from their grown ups.
CHILDCARE DIRECTOR
AMY MCKINNELL
(SHE/HER/HERS)
Miss Amy, as she's known around Little Village brings a joyful presence to Villagers young and old. She has a background in midwifery and early childhood education, not to mention being mother to 6 kids of her own (ranging from 6-21 years old!) all of which enables her to manage our mixed-age space with grace and humor. Amy is passionate about the outdoors, growing good food, essential oils and generally living and loving well.
CHILDCARE ASSISTANT
JODI L.
(SHE/HER/HERS)
Jody has over 22 years of experience working with kids of all ages. She has a BA in Somatic Psychology, has trained in multiple holistic teaching methods (including gentle parenting, Waldorf and Montessori) and serves on the CO State Early Childhood Council. As a single mom of 3 in a multi-generational and multi-racial & cultural family, she has consistently sought out and advocated for cooperative, grassroots and non-traditional childcare options.
